Gill Holmes
Gill has been directing the Taranaki Harmony Chorus since 2000, she was previously a singer on the risers. With no formal music background Gill took the plunge and has learnt and honed her Director skills along the way.
Gill has always loved singing, and was one of the original Chorus members back in 1994. During her time singing and directing Gill has had many singing opportunities, she has sung with The Waikato Rivertones both domestically and internationally, been part of 4 quartets both for fun and competitively, sung with the national chorus He Tangata and directed Taranaki Harmony Chorus community wide and on contest stage.
Her vision for Chorus is to promote and grow women's 4 part a-cappella harmony singing within the greater Taranaki region and for Taranaki Harmony to be a singing group that is a fun-filled high-level perfoming chorus, attracting new members to join and experience the fabulousness of 4 part a-cappella.
